ConstruTALKS 2026: Ecuador enters a new stage of development

From July 16 to 18, the UEES Convention Center in Samborondón, Ecuador, will host ConstruTALKS 2026, the conference series held as part of Expo Cata Inmobiliaria 2026.

Designed for developers, investors, architects, builders, and industry professionals, ConstruTALKS has established itself as a space for knowledge exchange, inspiration, and networking for those seeking to anticipate the shifts redefining how projects are conceived, developed, and managed.

From User Experience to Unique Experience

As part of the event agenda, Gómez Platero will present the conference “Unique Experience: When Experience Adds Value to Development,” led by Ricardo Fernández, Business Development Manager for the Americas.

The talk will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and will explore how experience has become a strategic asset in contemporary real estate development. It will also address how people-centered value propositions can strengthen project positioning, create differentiation, and enhance long-term value.

An agenda that reflects the evolution of the industry

The ConstruTALKS 2026 program will address some of the key challenges and opportunities currently shaping the sector. Over three days, the event will analyze the impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence on design, planning, and project management processes, as well as the consolidation of methodologies such as BIM to optimize coordination, efficiency, and decision-making throughout a project’s entire life cycle.

The agenda will also focus on sustainability as a competitive factor, the evolution of real estate development models in response to an increasingly dynamic market, and the strategic value of design, innovation, and user experience in differentiating projects. These topics will be complemented by reflections on real estate marketing, brand positioning, leadership, and the growing connection between academia, industry, and the city as drivers of more integrated urban development.

Real Estate market trends in Ecuador

After a period of slowdown, the sector is beginning to show signs of recovery, driven by greater access to financing, the reactivation of new developments, and demand increasingly oriented toward projects with higher added value.

Among the main trends currently shaping the market are:

• 22% growth in mortgage loan placement, helping to drive renewed housing demand.

• 41,230 new housing units projected based on construction permits registered by INEC.

• 80.9% of construction permits are concentrated in ten provinces, with Guayas, Pichincha, and Azuay leading the country’s building activity.

• Greater urban densification, with sustained growth in multifamily and mixed-use developments in major cities.

• Demand is evolving toward more comprehensive projects that incorporate sustainability, technology, flexible spaces, and differentiated experiences as part of their value proposition.
