Building a better city does not happen by inertia. It is the result of coordinated decisions between the public sector, academia and private stakeholders. Under this premise, REBS Monterrey 2026, organized by Inmobiliare Connect, positions itself as a relevant platform to address the current challenges of Real Estate development in one of Mexico’s most dynamic markets.
The event, taking place on April 15 and 16 at Casino Monterrey, will bring together key industry players to discuss the urban projects the city demands.
Gómez Platero Architecture and Urbanism will participate in the event with the talk “Architecture as a generator of value in real estate development”, presented by Santiago Pérez, Business Development Manager, on Thursday the 16th at 5:05 pm.
The presentation will explore the role of architecture as a strategic component in decision-making, capable of impacting profitability, efficiency and overall project performance.
Among the event’s participants, Miguel B. Treviño de Hoyos will lead a central conversation from his dual public and academic role at Tecnológico de Monterrey. He will be joined by José Antonio Torre Medina, Betsabé Rocha and Juan Bringas, bringing complementary perspectives on urban transformation.
In addition, the program includes dedicated panels on sustainable financing, economic trends and urban development, featuring leaders from financial institutions, developers and consulting firms. These sessions will address the role of capital in shaping the sector, strategic opportunities for Nuevo León, high-rise residential development, industrialization linked to mexshoring, and the integration of technology and new methodologies in architecture and construction.
Monterrey has established itself as a strategic market within the regional Real Estate landscape. However, this growth comes with increasing complexity: access to capital is more selective, development costs are rising, and infrastructure is becoming a determining factor in project feasibility. In this context, real estate development demands a more integrated approach, where financing, design, technology and management converge as interdependent variables.
Key Real Estate drivers in Monterrey
The program of REBS Monterrey 2026 is structured around themes that are now critical to real estate development and the city’s urban evolution:
• Capital and financing: investment conditions in a high-rate environment with increased risk perception.
• Market and demand: housing, retail, industrial and logistics sectors facing new performance and accessibility demands.
• Development and city: verticalization, density, profitability and urban responsibility in Monterrey’s path toward 2030.
• Infrastructure and risk: energy and water as critical variables for investment and urban resilience.
• Technology and execution: BIM, digitalization and artificial intelligence applied to precision, control and decision-making.
In this scenario, real estate development requires a more sophisticated vision, where financing, design, technology and infrastructure are no longer isolated variables but operate as interdependent factors within a single project strategy.
