The International Architecture Awards 2024 is one of the most prestigious competitions in the field, organized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and Metropolitan Arts Press, Ltd. Since 2004, these awards have celebrated excellence and innovation in architecture, urban planning, and landscape design worldwide, highlighting projects that set trends and add value to the discipline. This year, two projects from the studio—Miami Bay Towers and Club Cash—were recognized in different categories for their contributions to architectural design and their innovative approach to urban development.

The Miami Bay Towers concept is located on a prime stretch of Miami’s coastline. The architectural proposal envisions a high-impact addition to the city’s skyline, with four irregularly shaped towers and multifunctional podiums that combine residences, a hotel, commercial spaces, and amenities. The design stands out for maximizing views, fostering integration with the natural environment of Biscayne Bay, and prioritizing energy efficiency, establishing a new urban hub that redefines the relationship between architecture and nature in the heart of Miami.

The arrangement of the towers and podiums allows for phased construction, optimizing logistics and development profitability. The strategic design of the volumes and façades enhances natural light, cross-ventilation, and panoramic views, improving the efficiency of both residential and hotel units. Conceived as a mixed-use project, the complex is organized into two podiums connected by a commercial promenade along the bay, integrating residential, hotel, recreational, and commercial activities, and introducing innovative solutions for land management and interaction with the coastal environment.

Club Cash: Honorable Mention as a Sports and Social Project

In the same edition of the International Architecture Awards, the Club Cash project—a sports and social complex built in Montevideo, Uruguay—received an honorable mention in the sports architecture category. Club Cash, which had previously been selected as a finalist in the Sports category at the 2025 World Architecture Festival, stands out as a contemporary sports architecture proposal focused on social activation.

The recognition of both projects at the 2025 International Architecture Awards underscores the importance of pursuing architectural proposals that engage with their context, integrate nature and urban life, and respond to contemporary needs for sustainability, quality of life, and urban development.
