The scope of the project encompassed the architectural design and the development of a visual communication system for the Bath & Home Center branches, an Ecuadorian store specializing in construction finishes and design and decoration consulting.

The project began with the branch located on Juan Tanca Marengo Avenue and, based on that experience, was replicated in the Cumbayá and San Rafael locations, which were undergoing redesign processes.
The main objective was to renew the brand’s image through a comprehensive transformation of the commercial space. This involved reorganizing the interior layout, redesigning the façade, applying the brand’s visual identity, and developing a coherent communication system that would enhance the user experience.
One of the first strategic decisions was to define an exclusive space for the brand within the previously shared premises, allowing greater autonomy in configuring the environment. The showroom was organized into functional zones: warehouse, coverings, complementary product lines, bathrooms, and a central area. New display gondolas were designed, ceilings and lighting were modified, and specific furnishings were developed for each zone. In the central area, illuminated cubes were incorporated for temporary exhibitions, while the reception was placed at the back of the store.

Visual Communication and Signage Proposal
As part of the process, a brand manual was developed to document the architectural design criteria, furnishings, and applied graphics. This document, structured into thematic chapters with technical sheets and construction details, enables the model to be replicated in future branches, optimizing resources and ensuring a consistent quality standard.
The visual communication system was designed to address all customer touchpoints, from façade signage to product labeling, creating a coherent experience aligned with the brand’s identity. This comprehensive approach incorporates principles of visual marketing, aimed at enhancing product visibility and supporting user decision-making at the point of sale.
This integration of architecture, visual communication, and visual marketing strategies reinforces Bath & Home Center’s positioning as a benchmark in its sector.
