Guadalajara and new opportunities for Real Estate

On September 9 and 10, 2026, Hilton Midtown Guadalajara will host a new edition of REB+ Summit Guadalajara, bringing together key players from across the Real Estate industry to discuss emerging trends, opportunities, and new development scenarios.

This year’s edition will focus on Guadalajara’s evolution as the economic and technology hub of Western Mexico. Over two days, developers, investors, architects, specialists, and industry leaders will exchange perspectives on the forces reshaping the region’s growth, from nearshoring and digital infrastructure to data centers, housing, and logistics.

The agenda will feature talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to explore how these transformations are impacting different Real Estate asset classes and, in particular, the new demands they are creating for those designing, developing, and investing in the city.

Gómez Platero will participate in the event with the talk “Designing Value: Balancing Efficiency and Differentiation,” led by Architect Carlos Sánchez, Head of Business Development, Mexico. The presentation will address one of the key challenges facing Real Estate development today: how to create efficient projects while building distinctive propositions that can generate value in increasingly competitive markets.

The event also comes at a time of significant transformation for Guadalajara. The growth of technology and service industries, alongside expanding logistics and manufacturing activity, is broadening and diversifying Real Estate demand. New investment and infrastructure associated with nearshoring are opening up opportunities while also calling for more integrated responses across housing, mobility, productive spaces, and urban development.

Guadalajara’s Real Estate market continues to expand

Recent indicators point to continued growth across both industrial and corporate Real Estate in Guadalajara. According to CBRE, the industrial market reached 5.9 million sqm of inventory in Q2 2026, with approximately 425,000 sqm under construction and more than 255,000 sqm transacted during the first half of the year. Demand is being driven primarily by advanced manufacturing, electronics, and logistics, while average asking rents reached USD 7.51/sqm/month.

At the same time, Class A/A+ office inventory reached 836,000 sqm, following the addition of more than 30,100 sqm of new supply during the quarter, primarily in corridors such as Zona Financiera and López Mateos–Américas. CBRE also reports approximately 30,900 sqm under construction, while demand continues to be supported by sectors including technology, specialized services, and pharmaceuticals.

These figures also reflect rising expectations for Real Estate products. According to Colliers, average office rents reached USD 23/sqm/month in Q2 2026, amid sustained demand for higher-quality spaces. For architecture and Real Estate, this creates a clear challenge: to design spaces that offer higher specifications, greater flexibility, and improved efficiency, while responding to the needs of increasingly specialized companies and industries.

Guadalajara’s evolution points to a new phase for the sector. As markets become more sophisticated and demands continue to shift, project value will increasingly depend not only on scale, but on the ability to combine efficiency, differentiation, and a clear understanding of context. Events such as REB+ Summit provide a platform to bring these issues into the conversation and anticipate the decisions that will shape the region’s next Real Estate cycle.
