Under the theme "Differentiation that Transforms Cities," the 2025 edition of ELDI will position Panama as the epicenter of real estate innovation in Latin America. Over two days, the JW Marriott Hotel in Panama’s capital will welcome more than 15 speakers and over 350 attendees from 17 countries, including developers, architects, CEOs, and industry experts.
This year, ELDI offers an immersive experience that goes beyond traditional conference formats, featuring workshops, roundtables, live podcasts, and personalized networking opportunities. The goal is clear: to transform innovation into tangible experiences, providing attendees with practical tools for achieving strategic differentiation in real estate projects. Key concepts such as branding, amenities, user experience, and urban design will be explored through real-world success stories, addressing the critical question: "Why do some projects stand out while others go unnoticed?"
The event’s agenda will cover the most relevant trends shaping today’s real estate sector, emphasizing strategic differentiation as essential for success in a competitive market. Sessions will address sustained value creation through architectural design and community-building, as well as the growing importance of sustainability and ESG criteria as drivers of real estate business. Innovative trends in technology and urban design, such as artificial surf beaches as differentiating factors for residential developments, will also be highlighted. Additionally, specialized workshops will focus on advanced commercial strategies, international investment opportunities, business expansion, and applied sustainability.
In this context, Gómez Platero Architecture & Urbanism will participate through two featured sessions. Martín Gómez Platero, founder, director, and CEO of the firm, will deliver the talk "Architecture and Real Estate as Drivers of Urban Transformation" on Thursday, June 12 at 12:50 PM. Gómez Platero will discuss new ways of living, investing, and city-making, highlighting architecture’s pivotal role in positively transforming urban environments. Meanwhile, Santiago Pérez, Head of International Business Development at Gómez Platero, will lead the workshop "New Frontiers in Real Estate: Driving Innovation," on Friday, June 13 at 11:40 AM, exploring emerging trends and innovative opportunities within the real estate sector.
Simultaneously, the event will host the 10th edition of the Latin American Real Estate Development Awards (LADI), honoring developers’ achievements across categories such as design, planning, marketing, and development, further consolidating ELDI as a comprehensive platform for regional real estate development.
Panama’s real estate market is currently one of the most dynamic in Latin America, driven by economic stability, strategic location, and unique competitive advantages. According to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Panama has recorded a 203% increase in foreign direct investment since 2022, while the World Bank forecasts annual economic growth of 5.6% through 2025. The country’s dollarized economy, robust international banking sector, and favorable tax incentives further strengthen investor confidence, particularly in investor-oriented real estate projects such as vacation rentals and multifamily developments.
Emerging areas such as Playa Venao, Boquete, and El Valle de Antón have experienced sustained property value growth, reaching up to 35% over the past three years. This growth is supported by government initiatives such as the pensioner visa and the qualified investor program, which grants residency within 30 days through a USD 300,000 real estate investment. Additionally, Panama’s logistics and commercial sectors continue to expand: according to the Panama Canal Authority (ACP), the Canal generates over USD 3 billion annually and connects 6% of global maritime trade, while the Colón Free Zone handles trade exceeding USD 19 billion per year, solidifying Panama’s position as a key logistics hub in the region.
Strategic differentiation, innovation, and a comprehensive vision of urban development will be the central themes of ELDI, shaping the future of the sector and driving projects that not only stand out commercially but also positively impact cities and communities across the continent.
